Abstract

The goal of this paper is to offer a critical revision of the practice that derives from some types of knowledge that, under the claims of science, operate as absolute truths when confronted with failure in the context of school teaching. This is the issue we address in this paper, namely, the problem of seeking a solution to children’s problems by medicalizing them. The issue is not created by biological causes but a multiplicity of factors rooted in society.
