The Basque Country’s school students –young people and adolescents between the ages of fourteen and eighteen– are, on the whole, avid consumers of audio-visual technologies and of the symbolic content they transmit. Boys and girls in the Basque Country devote much time and a considerable amount of money to the new communication technologies.Yet many of these school students engage in consumption without any broad critical attitudes or concern. They use the Internet and TV but are not always aware of the kinds of worlds they are becoming immersed in, and do not always do so from the starting point of an independent and critical attitude and perspective towards these mediums.Downloads
