Euskarazko herri-prentsaren irakurleen profila aztergai

Abstract

This article analyzes the readers´ profile and views about five local magazines written in Basque. Thanks to a grant from the Basque Government, researchers have obtained significant results about the following magazines: Aikor based in the Txorierri region (Bizkaia), ...eta kitto! based in Eibar (Gipuzkoa), Barren based in Elgoibar (Gipuzkoa), Karkara based in Orio (Gipuzkoa), and Aldaize based in Idiazabal (Gipuzkoa). This article analyzes the readers´ knowledge of the magazines distributed within their areas of residence, the time readers spend reading magazines, and the readers’ opinions on these Basque language magazines. Additionally, based on these results, this paper includes the main conclusions and proposals for the future.
