Abstract

This work presents an educational innovation experience with 370 students from the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU). Based on the case method, from an interdisciplinary perspective and through cooperative learning, the aim has been to relate theoretical knowledge to real situations and professional contexts. The case method is based on a student with educational needs. The students of Psychology, Primary and Social Education were organized into groups, and they studied and resolved the case from an interdisciplinary perspective. Participants completed a series of questionnaires before and after dealing with the case to learn about their motivation, cooperative learning and interdisciplinary perception. The results show that significant differences were made in all variables between the scores before and after students participated in the project. This work shows that the use of educational strategies based on interdisciplinary and case-by-case learning improves students’ perception of cooperative learning and interdisciplinary learning, as well
