Abstract

The issue of economic growth often has been understood as prosperity and the link between the public expenditure and growth has been considered successful if their relation- ship is positive. In that sense, the literature has focused on identifying the factors that gene- rate the economic growth. However, recently, the strategy of degrowth has appeared as an alternative of the paradigm of economic growth. So, the aim of this paper is to present a short collection of the most relevant contributions about the growth theory since Adam Smith.
