Abstract

Sustainable Public Procurement (SPP) apparently seems to be an useful tool to promote sustainability, particularly within contexts in which public sector represents a significant percentage of the economy. Traditionally, Public Procurement process does not have into considerations sustainability criteria. The main objective of this article is to analyse the development of the legal framework of the Public Procurement and to study the different possibilities to put into practice the SPP. Furthermore, some SPP good practices are collected.
