Abstract

This article analyses the development of the Feminist Anthropology from its origins —at the end of the 60`s or the beginning of the 70`s— to the present. In section 1, we will take a broad look at how thes idea of women´s plurality and the concept of gender were developed. In the second section, we will explore the symbolic explanations and the marxist explanations. Finally, in the last section, we will introduce the current feminist theories/issues. We need to keep in mind that the revision of the anthropologist theory and the emergence of the criticism and new anthropologist models have been promoted. In sum, the aim is to describe and study what women actually do and think as well as analysing gender relations
