Abstract

This article investigates the foralism of Basque republican federals during the Spanish Sexenio Democratico (1868-1873). It specially analizes three moments: J. Jamar’s Lo que es el Fuero work (1868), the Federal Pact of Eibar (1869) and J. Arrese’s La descentralizacion universal book (1873). By this works the article try to understand the particular interpretation of Fueros done by Basque republicans, in the context of the epoque.
