Familia-harreraren jarraipena Gipuzkoan: gaur egungo egoera eta hobekuntzarako proposamenak ikerkuntzaren eremutik

Abstract

The present article is inspired by the need to explore and improve the development and characteristics of family foster care as a means of child protection in our most immediate context. To this end, we present a brief description of the Specialised Support and Follow-up Programme for Family Foster Care in Gipuzkoa, currently being developed in the Lauka Centre. Moreover, and on the basis of research carried out at this centre and by two lecturers from the Psychology Faculty of the UPV/EHU on the socio-emotional development of family foster children, we offer a series of suggestions for optimising the design and development of follow-up programmes for Family Foster care, as well as for solving various problems that arise in other areas of the family foster care process.
