Innovation has attracted the attention of companies and other organizations over the last few years. For this reason, the sources to improve capacity for innovation as well as innovation results have been studied in several areas, addressing sources of diverse nature. Among others, the importance given to the technology have been remarkable, but, as the research moves ahead, more and more significant attention has been paid to other sources. Individual, human resources are amongst them. Much research has been done about innovative behavior of employees and, in general, about their management. In this work, we look into the impact of human resource management and work organization on innovation results, and for this purpose, we’ve done a literature review. In this way, we place the human, the individual, in the heart of innovation, as a key for organizations to manage it in their strategy.
