Kopenhageko Klima Aldaketari buruzko Konferentzia: helburua Mexikon lortu behar da

Abstract

Kyoto Protocol, an international treaty which establishes the reduction of green-house gas concentrations in the atmosphere, expires in December of 2012. The negotia-tions in order to get a new treaty to replace it started in 2007; they had to finish in December of 2009 with the adoption of a binding text in the United Nations Climate Change Confe-rence held in Copenhagen. In this meeting industrialized countries presented little ambitious proposals, although European Union’s position was quite interesting, so the objective couldn’t be achieved. United Nations want to see a forward step in the Copenhagen Accord; anyway, a new treaty to replace Kyoto Protocol will have to be necessarily adopted in the next meeting in Mexico.
