Abstract

Local media in Basque have raised their own information ground. Nevertheless, it is consisted of a heterogeneous reality. At the same time some magazines have become referents, new papers have recently arisen. Basque local media are information projects according to different periodicity rates and, moreover, they have shown their ability to change their own contents. Thus, this article will focus on the quality of the information local media in Basque publish. They are the most read papers in Basque and the journalism model they work through has been really influent on the Basque speakersÕ community. Not only they have objectives related to the language, but they also deal with proper journalistic information.
