Identitate kulturala eta boterea
Abstract
This paper examines the relationship between social identity and power in the specific context of the current Basque problem. Social identity arises in the dimension of human sociability, and its development is taken to be an unlimited process both individually and socially. It is therefore asserted that the relationship between power and national identity is played out on two levels - not only in subjective interactions but also through objective structures, especially the latter in that it is through these that our customs are primarily materialised. Lastly, the paper underscores the relationship between teaching and liberating practice and ethics, in the belief that it is precisely an education based on ethical values that is the cornerstone for the construction of a more just and humane society.
