Bizkaitar eta gipuzkoar nekazariak 1718ko matxinadan
Abstract
In 1718, when by a king-order interior-customs were moved to the seaside, some natives of Biscay and Gipuzkoa took the disturbance way arguing the fact was contrary to the Regional Law Code. Most of them were farmers who lived in the surroundings of the most important cities. But, was this really the only reason to move these people? Land distribution, bad crops and the importance of smuggling seem to be related to what happened those years. In this sense the image of disturbances is more complicate than it seemed before. The article tries to formulate some question which requires a deeper analysis.Downloads
