This article provides an overview of the evolution of Basque nationalism’s discourse on immigration to the Basque Country from Spain. It studies the period from the emergence of this nationalism to the consolidation of the new leftist Basque nationalism. It analyses the change of the concept of nation proposed by Basque nationalism. The main conclusion is that Basque nationalism changed its vision with respect to intrastate migrants: first rejecting them from the national project then encouraging their integration.Downloads
