Regional Governments (R.G.) in Spain are increasingly concerned about waste management models because of the amount of wasted resources and economic losses that companies generate. However, this study finds that companies with workplaces located in different regions are faced with different procedures with regard to waste management. This article compares the requirements of the R.G.to small waste producers (those that generate an annual amount of waste of less than 10 tonnes). The regulations on the matter were examined, concluding that the Basque Country is one of the most demanding R.G. in terms of waste management policies.Downloads
