Zôon aktiboa eta pasiboa: gizaberea aska gozoan
Abstract
Individualism has had very bad press in both the sociological and the ideological currents. Now, I am in favour of distinguishing between individualism and individuation. The first is related to capitalism and the second to modernisation. Distinguishing between capitalism and modernisation can be fruitful for explaining some present day phenomena. This is what is done in this article. As Ulrick Beck says, we are living in a society of risk, not only on the technological plane, but also on the social plane, where these risks are increasingly great. Social risks today are closely linked to the process of de-institutionalisation, and the societies of the future, as well as the socio-political projects, will have to take this individualised individual into account.Downloads
