Terminologia eta itzulpengintza (Itzulpena)
Abstract
The study of terminology is neccesary in a translation course, and so is the study of some other theoretical aspects, such as interlingual communication, equivalence types, phraseology, etc, as it is useful to demythologise and to explain the translation process, in which professionals often work intuitively. In a course for translators, terminology has the aim of making the distinction between terms and words, so that it is learnt how to deal with them separately in terms of translation techniques. Furthermore it can be useful to make students aware of the complexity of language and to understand why they make certain necessary decisions when translating.Downloads
