Nork bere burua zaintzeko laguntza emanez (Itzulpena)
Abstract
In 1991, AWWA established the nonprofit international development organization WATER FOR PEOPLE (WFP) with the mission of improving lives worlwide through drinking water, sanitation, and hygiene projects. Since then, nearly 400 WFP projects have been completed, benefiting rural and urban communities in 38 developing and transitioning countries. To be eligible, projects must address critical needs, use appropriate technology and local materials, and be sustainable by the community. To facilitate projects and make the most of limited funding and resources, WFP partners with indigenous private institutions, public agencies, and nongovernmental organizations. As WFP enters a new century, the organization is evolving to meet the changing needs of communities and investing more in education, training, and basic skills to help people help themselves.Downloads
