Laburpena

Tradizioak eta legeak emakume erromatarrei magistraturak eskuratzea eta gobernuko erabakietan bozkatzea debekatzen zien. Hala ere, debeku horrek, politikatik guztiz baztertzea lortu ordez, antolakuntza modu alternatiboak bultzatu zituen. Erromatar emakumeen kasuan, mendeetan zehar hainbat protesta publiko izan baziren ere, badirudi erabaki horietan eragiteko ohiko modua etxe pribatuen inguruan antolatzen ziren amicitia sare femeninoen bidez izango zela. Artikulu honetan sare horien funtzionamendua azaltzen dugu, haien eta hiritarren patronatu-harremanen arteko antzekotasunak eta desberdintasunak nabarmenduz. Horrez gain, emakumeen parte-hartze politikoaren kontra idatzi zuten zenbait autoreren kritikak aztertuz, oro har, gizarte erromatarrak sare hauek praktika onargarri (eta baita komenigarri) moduan ikusten zituela argudiatzen dugu.
