Nicos Poulantzas and the Basque Spring. Unrounded conversation

The flourishing of Nicos Poulantzas and the political revival of Euskal Herria took place in the late 1960s. The first one, as a Marxist theorist of the State, and the second one, as a nation liberation, lived a flourishing period and became acquainted with each other. We know that Poulantzas was aware of the Basque Country by the beginning of the 1970s. And we can also see that the Basque Revolt had already learned analyses of Poulantzas. Thus we say that there was a mutual agreement between Poulantzas and the Basque Country. But it was unrounded. Especially with regard to the knowledge of the reflections on the national question. The Basque struggle didn’t pay particular attention to the Poulantzian theorizations of the nation, and Poulantzas didn’t recognize the theoretical developments of the Basques. Thus, if they had known each other thoroughly, they would have had a more tasty theoretical evolution.
