Abstract

The text that follows is a work dedicated to the book Leturiaren egunkari ezkutua (Leturia´s secret diary) by Txillardegi. As it is known, besides being the first modern novel, Leturia´s secret diary is an existentialist novel. Thus, the main objectives of this work are, on the one hand, to analyze the influence of existentialism, especially of writers such as Kierkegaard and Unamuno, on Leturia’s secret diary and, on the other hand, to show the religious crisis that Txillardegi experienced during Francoism. In fact, Leturia´s secret diary is set in this period.
