The production of television series in Basque has specific characteristics and objective limits that are unavoidable when developing any television drama project. This article summarizes the research done to identify the aforementioned characteristics and limits. The research was performed in two steps: firstly, we identified the key elements that shaped and limited the production of series in Basque in the decade 2000-2009; and secondly, we studied the production of the soap opera Goenkale to unravel the intricacies of its production within the limits identified.Downloads
