Abstract

This article tries to give an overview of the religious buildings of Bizkaia, putting it in relation to the major interventions of the historical and artistic monuments. Our goal is to analyze whether the rich repertoire of style that pervaded nineteenth-century architect employed a new discipline that had just emerged: the restoration of monuments.
