Meatzaritza nekazari-herri batean. 1844-1982
Abstract
In the middle xixth century, the small town of Aizarna went through its own industrial revolution, when the exploitation of the coalmines, which abounded in its mountains began. This activity was closely bound to the development of natural concrete factories which were being set up in the Urola Valley. After nearly a century bringing prosperity to the town, the postwar years of the Spanish Civil War led to the downturn of the production and the shutdown of these mines.
