Determinatzaile sintagmaren hipotesia euskal gramatikan
Abstract
This article justifies Abney’s Determiner Phrase Hypothesis from a point of view internal to Basque grammar. The author reviews Abney’s original arguments and adapts them to Basque. Special attention is given to show that personal pronouns behave syntactically as Determiners. Finally, the author proposes that noun phrases headed by two determiners (a construction found in Western Basque) should be analyzed in the light of the DP Hypothesis.Downloads
