Gipuzkoa erdialdeko testu zaharrak erkatzen

Abstract

In this paper I compare some old dialectal texts from central Gipuzkoa, in order to find out in which linguistic properties they coincide and in which they differ. These are the goals of the paper: to distinguish the linguistic areas that have existed in the Urola, Goierri, Tolosaldea and Beterri regions of Gipuzkoa; to determine which innovations define each linguistic area; and to know where those innovations have expanded/limited within the geographical area under research. Provisionally, four linguistic areas have been recognized. Also, I indicate some doubts and difficulties, which often arise when working with old texts.
