In the current context of migratory crises, the migrants are defined by the impossibility of representing themselves, as they are a voiceless subject. The humanitarian consequences of this crisis are also part of the daily life of the Basque Country, which accumulates especially on the border between two states. This reality has been echoed in contemporary Basque theater: in 2024 the plays Miñan by the Artedrama platform and Bidasoa mintzatuko balitz by the Axut! collective were premiered. In this article we will analyse the protagonism of the first-person narrative voice in these plays, precisely because of the need to highlight the lives of immigrants and their subjective experiences.
