Abstract

The EbroHydromorph project aims to study the morphological changes in the middle Ebro River over the last few decades, with particular focus on sediment transport. In the first phase, historical changes in land use within the basin are being analyzed to understand their impact on the hydrogeomorphological conditions of the river courses. Land use-land cover from the mid-20th century has been digitized, and this cartography has been compared with the 2014 land use-land cover maps. Preliminary results show a significant reduction in active channel surfaces, whereas forest, grassland and artificial areas have increased.
