The main objective of this study is to describe the decision-making process regarding surgical treatments for breast cancer. To achieve this, data were collected from 135 women across the three provinces of the Basque Autonomous Community. The primary variable of analysis was the decisionmaking process, assessed using the validated Shared Decision Making (SDM-Q-9) and iSHARE questionnaires. Additionally, an ad-hoc question was included to consider participants' selfperception. Socioeconomic characteristics of the participants were also recorded. The results indicate a low self-perception of decision quality and suggest that the evaluation of the decision-making process varies depending on the type of surgery. The findings highlight the need for further research into the involvement of key actors in the decision-making process of women facing breast cancer surgery.
