In the process of second language acquisition, anxiety is an affective variable that has a significant impact. This article focuses on the context of the Basque Autonomous Community; since Basque is a minority language and the second language for many students, learning this language may trigger the emergence of anxiety. Therefore, the main aim of this research is to examine the anxiety that students may experience in subjects learnt through Basque at university level. The sample consists of 216 undergraduate students, and data were collected through quantitative methods. Results indicate that participants may feel anxiety in various situations, and significant differences were also found based on three variables under study (gender, mother tongue and Basque proficiency).
