In an increasingly diverse society, technology has the potential to improve people’s quality of life across various daily domains. For people with disabilities, technology offers opportunities to perform activities that might otherwise be impossible, provided that the solutions are accessible. This study explores the accessibility of immersive technologies by analysing the experiences of 19 participants with different types of disabilities. Participants evaluated the balance between the benefits and challenges they encountered. The findings reveal that the type of disability influences how individuals perceive and understand the benefits. These insights might be important for addressing accessibility challenges in design and developing more inclusive immersive technologies.
