Heavy metals can be dangerous at high concentrations in the soil. Therefore, it is very interesting to study leaching situations, where an aqueous phase can mobilize the metals absorbed by a solid surface. Soil samples were taken next to a historic building with a high polluting load accumulated over the years, Punta Begoña (Bizkaia). These samples were analyzed by Inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) to know their metallic composition. The metals accumulated at the base of the building were Fe, Mg, Na, Ba and Co, which may indicate a metallic contribution from the façade due to leaching effects. Using the VIE-B values defined in the BOE2015 for the Autonomous Community of the Basque Country, it was is seen the presence of Pb contamination in Punta Begoña.
