Abstract

Irungo Harrera Sarea welcomes and assists migrants in transit and politically denounces the precariousness of their situation. In this sense, it functions as a refuge for lives marked by precariousness in the border between to states. An approach to the success of the Sarea has been developed in this article, focusing on the speeches and practices of the participants. It has been concluded, that although both discourse and practice distinguish between assistance and political work, they cannot be understood separately and make sense of and embrace each other.
