Abstract

I started the collection of the data of my PhD by making a translation catalogue of school and university textbooks translated into Basque. As soon as I started analyzing the catalogue, I saw that in the creation of this type of text genres there is a constellation of agents who carry out complex communicative acts typically associated with information societies of late modernity. The aim of this article is to show how translating these sorts of texts can be considered a type of entextualization, a concept borrowed from discourse analysis.
