Abstract

Infertile men with a normal genetic supply (normal karyotype) may have chromosomal alterations in their sperm cells. The most frequent chromosomal alterations are aneuploidies, which are detected by FISH study, but this analysis involves the destruction of the sample. Moreover, after diagnosis, there is no alternative treatment for these patients and the main option to the man and the couple is to replace the male gamete with a sperm donor. This study aims to create novel tools to identify sperm cells with neuploidies using proteomic techniques.
