Abstract

With the advancement of society, new problems are emerging in processes that were previously effective. For example, in drinking water, new pollutants have appeared, categorized as contaminants of emerging concern, such as additives derived from plastics and drugs used in disease treatments. The presence of these pollutants in water has significantly increased in recent decades due to the rise in their consumption. As emerging pollutants, there are no effective processes to remove them at water treatment plants, and as a result, the drinking water that reaches homes contains these pollutants. To address this issue, this study focuses on preparing gels based on eutectic solvents to adsorb the pollutants present in water.
