Abstract

This study compares four conceptual frameworks—One Health, EcoHealth, Planetary Health, and Ecological Public Health—used to examine the connections between human, animal, and environmental health. By analyzing the common topics, participation type, approaches to health, values, and typical participants, similarities and differences among these frameworks are identified. While the One Health approach initially focused on infectious diseases and antimicrobial resistance, it has evolved into a broader context. Planetary Health, on the other hand, is commonly applied to global processes such as climate change. EcoHealth emphasizes biodiversity and indigenous knowledge, whereas Ecological Hublic Health takes a systemic perspective. The study highlights the need for a clearer distinction between these frameworks, particularly for supporting a better contextualization of the research.
