Abstract

Traumatic spinal cord injury is a neurological condition with a significant socioeconomic impact that affects the quality of life of affected individuals in social, occupational, and psychological aspects. Unfortunately, there is currently no effective recovery strategy for the injury. However, they still face challenges such as high costs and low survival rates after transplantation. In this study, we propose the design of a dynamically adaptive gelatin-based hydrogel for spinal cord injury treatment. Different gelatin-based hydrogels with programmed degradation will be synthesized and characterized. Finally, the proposed hydrogels’ properties will be validated.
