Abstract

Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems (SUDS) are designed for multiple purposes: to protect the natural water cycle, to manage flood risk and/or to improve the quality of urban runoff water. For instance, permeable pavements allow rainwater to infiltrate through the soil or to reach rainwater reservoirs. Among others, in the San Ignazio neighborhood of Legazpi, they have opted for SUDS, building a parking lot with permeable pavements. The objective of this work has been to analyse the impact of the permeable pavements of Legazpi on water quality.
