Abstract

In the context of ecosocial crises, it is urgent to review imperial ways of life and to begin to imagine alternative ways of life within biophysical boundaries. This study examines the narratives of people who have gone from urban to rural areas in search of alternative lifestyles to see if the values and practices that emerge in these changes of life can be framed within the New Earth Culture. From the experience of 22 new rural Arratians, we can conclude that the transition to the New Earth Culture is a process begun, albeit in a silent or modest manner.
