Mastering the isotopic ratio of hydrogen transport parameters in fusion reactor materials is of great applicability for their characterisation. For years, the classical atomic theory has been questioned; however, no consensus has been reached. However, it is necessary to minimise this uncertainty when obtaining each transport parameter separately, before relating them isotopically. In the present study, this process has been carried out with a Eurofer sample and an AISI 316, paying special attention to the quality of the signal, the relative vacuum-signal of the facility itself, and the verification of the diffusive regime, as these are believed to be some of the major potential causes of error. It has thus been verified that, by obtaining the permeability of protium and deuterium accurately, the classical ratio is fulfilled with a really accurate precision in these two materials.
