Abstract

In the last decade, the prevalence of children and adolescents who are overweight or obese has experienced a notable increase worldwide, as well as in Spain. Both healthy dietary habits and the mediterranean dietary model play a fundamental role in maintaining or promoting health. However, adherence to the mediterranean diet is getting worse, increasing the recovery of overweight or obesity and increasing the probability of having problems in the near future. Therefore, the objective of this work is to broaden the knowledge about the obesogenic profile and dietary habits of children and adolescents and their adherence to the mediterranean diet.
