Abstract

This paper describes the process followed for the validation of the experimental procedure known as Soret elementary cell in porous media. First, numerical simulations of the key parts of the process have been carried out; these being the temperature transmission and the separation of components. Once this phase was completed, experimental tests were carried out with samples based on hydrocarbons and aqueous mixtures; and with both positive and negative Soret coefficients.
