Abstract

Most institutions write memoirs, yearbooks, minutes, and so on to give an account of the work carried out, and this is no different in the case of educational institutions, which have produced memoirs of several kinds since the end of the 19th century: inspection memoirs, memoirs of competitive examinations and so on. Although rarely used to date, there are many authors who, convinced of their value as a documentary source, have begun to use them as a primary source in different research projects in the field of the History of Education. Within this production of memoirs of several kinds, we find the yearbooks. This contribution aims to highlight the value of them as a primary source.
