This study used Photovoice methodology, based on Participatory-Action Research, to carry out a community diagnosis of the physical activity (PA) urban environment of a neighborhood in Bilbao. 11 residents from Deusto met in five sessions to discuss and analyze their environment through their photos. Three categories and nine subcategories were used to describe the neighborhood. Accessibility of resources to PA and the presence of green and blue spaces were identified among the facilitators. Abundant traffic and the need to improve cycling and walking infrastructure came out as barriers. These results were used to develop public policy recommendations to promote PA and improve the local environment.
