Abstract

The ability to process hydrogels through 3D printing is very interesting in numerus health-related areas. It has therefore been proposed to use hydrogels to produce printed medicines. However, unlike textile engineering applications, pharmaceutical printing requires more thorough control throughout the process. In this work, we use the reological aspects of the material and process to establish the printing conditions necessary for the obtaining of printed drugs. For this we use hydrogels mixed with medicines, and examine their properties in terms of fluidity and viscoelasticity. Finally, attempts have been made to predict the printing parameters used through a simulation.
