Abstract

Hippocampal circuits play a crucial role in cognitive processes such as navigation or memory. Moreover, many cell types (expressing CB1 receptors on their membranes) participate on a different way to develop such processes. In this work, we want to dissect the specific and sex-dependent role of CB1 receptors in neurons that participate on those hippocampal circuits. We used hippocampus-related behavioral test in CB1-flox male and female mice. These mice carried a specific CRE-mediated CB1 deletion on hippocampal neurons, by direct viral vector (AAV-Cre) administration.
