Abstract

In subclinical hypothyroidism where TSH levels are not higher than 20mUI/L, neither quality of life nor any of the symptoms related to thyroid is improved by the thyroid hormone. There is not sufficient evidence to say that it reduces cardiovascular events. As a result, there are no grounds for the treatment of the subclinical hypothyroidism.
