Laburpena

Alboko esklerosi amiotrofikoa (AEA) garuneko zein bizkarmuineko motoneuronen galera progresiboa sortzen duen gaixotasun neurodegeneratiboa da.

AEA izateak zuzenean eta era negatiboan eragiten dio gaixoaren nutrizio-egoerari. Desnutrizioa oso ohikoa den sintoma da AEA duten gaixoengan eta muskuluen eta immunitatearen ahuldura dakar, eritasuna areagotuz eta biziraupena gutxituz. Desnutrizioa faktore prediktibo independentea dela frogatu da hainbat ikerketatan. Hori dela-eta, oso garrantzitsua da balorazio nutrizional goiztiarra eta aldizkakoa egitea AEA duten gaixoetan, elikadura gaixoaren egoera klinikora egokitzeko une oro.
